Who do you think are working at Apple SD ... it is all the ex Qualcomm ppl. The culture at Apple SD is the same as Qualcomm. Why do you think people's behavior will change when they move companies ... they just being the same bad behavior to the new place.

When is the best time to jump off a sinking ship? If you waited until the last second and rode the ship down would the undertow ki-l you? When should I abandon and make the swim for survival?

@clb Ditto! People with experience in the industry have figured this out. A company can look shiny from the outside with spectacular reviews on popular sites such as Glassdoor but specific departments are utter $h!t. Some other companies can have bad reviews but one ends up in a hidden gem group with great management. I personally have experienced both. Before joining Q I didn't know anybody in the team I joined, however, the Q online reviews were great. I ended up in the PMIC which is a $h!tty group with a more $hitty senior lead XMa. Unless you have insider info, any group at any company can be very risky.

My whole career and multiple companies, it's really you don't know until you are there for a while. Doesn't matter what the reputation of a company is. It's what YOUR experience is. One department can be he-l and another heaven. It can change over time too. Stick through the bad and you can get to the good or it can go sour on you. Sadly there is no way to know for sure unless you have a friend working in the same area. Just the way it is. I think most of us truly go in blind.

Now is not the time. All big tech is in hiring freeze. Heavily referral based for non entry level. So, get a referral from your ex-teammate. Good thing is interviews are mostly domain based for which Q is well suited. Don't need to cram up leertcode/dfs/bfs or trie for word search!

Feels like an extension of Q. Mostly ex-Q employees. That was the whole point of opening an office in SD.
