Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Tiremans son one of the consultants

Tireman has spent millions of 3Ms $s on consultants to restructure, because he is in way over his head in his current role. Just so happens, tiremans son works at the very consulting agency which he hired and paid millions to.

There needs to be an investigation into how were the consultants chosen, who had final say, and did Tireman disclose his conflict of interest.

He was very clear that he has disclosed. The part he is completely wrong about is that his family is not on the table. Thats the clarence thomas defense, which is shady as shady can be. We should accept that his son got his job through nepotism. Gibby and kearney go back a long way. This is no different from the nepotism that got romans son in law his 3M and now Bain and Co (Chicago) role.
Do u think hammes got his job because of merit?
Let’s not live in lala land. As shareholders we have to exercise our rights to vote and change 3M. The leadership is accountable to us!!

I don't think it's a coincidence that junior was an intern at Mattel when daddy was their supply chain chief.

Junior has gone into hiding on Linkedin, a direct reaction to the situation having been brought to light. The absolute smartest thing junior can to at this point would be to resign from Kearney and find his own way in the business world, establish his own footing independent of his father's influence. If he does not do this, the conflict of interest (firewalls or not) will always follow him and he'll never be able to prove himself worthy of standing on his own two feet without that shadow of doubt present. The action could help his father's situation of endless doubt as well.

Anyone else would be terminated at 3M. This needs to be kept front and center until tireman provides selection process and confirm he disclosed conflict of interest. Additional corruption at the top of 3M

Surprised no one has leaked out this conflict of interest information to the media or to the regulators.

HR should Send out a employee survey. How many of them are convinced that his son is truly firewall from 3M discussions? And Tireman does not talk about 3M during his family meals times. How many actually would believe that?

Wait a minute…. Maybe Roman believes in it.

The rot starts at the top. Romper got his son in law a job at bain and co, one of the major consultants for a3m. They earned millions from 3m for out current setup. Used to be in hisd but saved him from that disaster. Called in a favor from bain. Nice!

The unrealized narcisissm displayed by this individual will never allow second thoughts about what is going on here, regardless of how clear and obvious it is. Poor decision that will never be accepted as an above board deal. It will be talked about for years.

3M has paid $50M to Kearney since November. Including $40M that was paid to them in the late May to early April timeframe. Additionally this $40M was simple listed as “Contigency Fees” for its description. Funny, I recall taking an ethics course that says not to use vague descriptions.

Kearney’s 2022 revenue was $1.3B so this is a very substantial boost to Kearney’s business’s

Internal firewall and separated or not, very poor decision on Gibbons and Roman to allow this to happen. Horrible optics.
