Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Staples Technology Layoffs today 5/31

Today our fearless leader, Chris Knuelle, laid us off. He must have been well rested after a week in Mexico. Nice guy. But truly . He has no idea what he’s doing. Yusef and Joes team have a few heavy hitters that keep Chris’s job in place. And the Senior Inside team is an absolute embarrassment. The irony is that the outside Account executives are 20M behind budget , but they laid us off.
Operations is unfortunately worse. Ran by a man who isn’t liked by anyone. And When you put people like Zane in charge of brand champs, you get what you asked for. The TACs are a nice concept, but who knows what they do all day. KARs are a good idea but poorly executed. I’ll end my rant. Someone challenge what I’m saying .

Disrespectful to post names on here, at least use initials like everyone else.

Getting paid for two years straight while only occasionally hitting quotas was cool. Some of this is the pc business going down but we also have to hold ourselves accountable. I'm not going to blame Chris for our situation.

The part about Wes is accurate but you forgot to include his name. Seems like a cool frat guy you could drink with but not someone you want running anything important

Sorry to hear. I heard 2 teams were let go and that those teams were way under quota for a long time. The other teams have been doing okay but the quotas are high across the company. We’re all ready for the sycamore era to end.
