Seems like the Vale stories have slowed down. What's the latest?

No one knows what he did or did not get re: severance, pension, etc. Besides, all that is not material to a guy that made millions of dollars year after year. His compensation was in stock and he did not lose that. So think about it-he is filthy rich, divorced, doesn’t have to work and can now go “hire contract workers” until his heart is content. I think he landed on his feet just fine.
If I may have to guess and contemplate - that 3M has known Dr Vale’s mischief for a while: then Dr. Vale must have boatload of stock/options that are yet to be vested- and as part of his recent promo a new Contract must have been drawn that explicitly states criminal record etc (unbeknownst to Dr Vale) and MVale signed it. 3 weeks later show the records boot’em out and take away all his hard earned Stocks.
Monish found this in his past and turned over to ethics point. He sat on this until he was promoted as he could not tolerate the idea of him being the next CEO.
You have to be concerned with Dr. Vale’s decision making skills and weighing the consequences of his actions.

Luckily, Mrs. Vale doesn’t know how to use the internet, so everything is fine at home.
3M trampled Dr. Vale’s career.
From being promoted to #2 to publicly firing in less than three weeks.
No $20 million golden parachute.
No equity.
No pension.
No unemployment.
Plummeting stock price.
No job prospects.
No references.
No retirement party.
This is the way 3M treats #2, think of how the little people will be treated.
While the 2001 arrest was interesting, I doubt it was the root cause of his firing. 3M had to have known about that long before now.
I haven't heard any other good explanation for him being marched off so abruptly. I imagine if there are legal issues afoot we will find out in the next month or two with public records really show up.
All this for a 2001 misdemeanor?
I am sure 3M rolled out another compliance training, which would be indicative..
Only the old arrest from 2001 has circulated. Still waiting on a news report for 2023. Still speculation and rumors of an affair with someone at 3M.
