Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Instead of pocketing the buy back money walmart will have to invest it in the company.

May effect associates 401k's but if passes ask for a raise.
This is the best idea the democrats have in years. Yeah associates yeah hourly.

All you have to do is look at who’s sponsored it, and everything becomes clear. It’s garbage legislation, and no chance of moving forward. Financially speaking, if you’re an hourly Walmart associate and you’re taking part in the associate stock program, this kind of legislation will take money OUT of your pocket because it potentially dilutes the value of stock.

If you’re being smart, and participate in the Walmart stock plan, that’s a wise thing to do because you make an immediate profit.

I wouldn’t worry about this legislation, it will go nowhere.

While the idea sounds basically good, there is a 0% chance that this passes through the narrowly divided house. I would be surprised if it even gets out of committee.
