Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

Hope everyone finds a much better job

I was really surprised when I found out about my colleagues who got cut because they always did a fantastic job. If it means anything to anyone in this stressful period, I don't know anyone who didn't get a much better opportunity after Walgreens. It's an ugly think to say, but maybe this is a blessing in disguise for some of you, because this place has become very bad and it is very likely that it will become even worse?

If you know others are making so much more elsewhere, why do you stay with this unloyal company, that is truly sinking. Dont you have some pride and owe it to your family and you to make more. Why do you stick it out at this company . Thats really sad.

If they really could get 50% more why are they sitting at Walgreens? If more people moved on that would force the wages up. Workers get comfortable. If you are worth more, go get it. Stop sitting and complaining.

I don't think anyone will accuse Walgreens of paying good wages.

So far, everyone that I know that has left Walgreens has found a job making 50%+ more, when they had only been with Walgreens 4-5 years, while I’ve been here 10 years. To see people make a lot more than what I’m making, doing the same kind of work shows how under paid the salaries at Walgreens are compared to the market.
