Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Support America!

My fellow Americans,

Today is YOUR day. Today is the day to stand up for America!
Do you know a company that sent American jobs to other countries? Many states have passed laws making it unlawful for employees (and contractors) in other countries from accessing health information and insurance claims on the American people.

Do you know of a company that recently laid off Americans? Do you know that, at least some of those jobs were not eliminated, but transferred to other countries, in violation of State and Federal laws?

Rise up! Today is the day that, as an American, you can rise up and do something for you, your family, and the American people. Rise up!

Don’t let these greedy executives line their pockets with gold, at the expense of you, your family, and the American people.

Please copy this info to your own computer and share it with your friends, regardless of which company they work or worked for

Filipinos are doing US optum jobs in the Philippines for around $8-10 a day.

Marketing signage is everywhere selling their propaganda to recruit more Filipinos for cheap exploitable labour

Why pay USAins when a Filipino will work for $7-9 per day? That's US empire capitalism.

My fellow Americans
Don't just complain about losing your job to another country
Do something about it
Notify a reporter about what you know
Notify regulatory agencies about what you know
It will only be a matter of time before you will read articles in the paper about state and Federal investigations
Rise up

I want to think the people who reported information to the reporters who are now working on stories about how this company sent jobs to other countries. It will only be a matter of time before these stories appear in the national press
Others notified regulatory agencies who also opened investigations, and we are optimistic that they will produce good results for the American people

Thank you

Ref IT leader spent a week in “offshore hub”- bet they have the entire village worship his “Royal highness”. After all the US dollars will fuel more than 100x of villagers. This translates into more stock options/bonuses margin for the execs.. yes, the good old “colony” dream comes true for the top “colonial”.

The company is trying to find ways to not pay severance. if you are laid off of work and given an excuse for why you didnt deserve a severance, make sure you hire a labor attorney and sue. Everyone!!! hire an attorney and sue. it will cost them more in attorney fees to fight your lawsuit. This will ensure they back off and follow the company policy regarding severance. No matter your performance, no matter what you did, always sue the company. they will settle due to the fees.. if need be just partner up with a couple of coworkers to sue. AGAIN!! they are trying to find ways to not pay you severance .. be prepared for that discussion and sign nothing.

If you're concerned about companies sending jobs overseas or violating laws, you can consider taking the following actions:

  1. Stay informed: Keep yourself updated on the latest news and developments regarding companies' practices, job outsourcing, and labor laws. Stay engaged with reliable sources of information.
  1. Support local businesses: By consciously choosing to support local businesses, you can contribute to the growth and sustainability of jobs within your community.
  1. Engage in political and policy discussions: Participate in conversations and debates regarding job outsourcing and corporate responsibility. Advocate for policies that protect American workers and promote domestic job creation.
  1. Vote and be politically active: Support candidates who prioritize American workers and fair trade policies. Exercise your right to vote and encourage others to do the same.

Remember that it's important to maintain a balanced perspective and consider various factors when forming opinions about companies and their practices.

If you were laid off, your job will likely be given to someone in another country.
As you may know, many states have passed laws making it illegal for employees (and contractors) in other countries from accessing medical information and insurance claims on the American people.

Despite these laws, companies continue to violate these laws. Since some companies have already transferred many jobs outside the America, they couldn’t possibly comply with these laws.

Since Congress is already investigating this company, please send this Congressional committee any information you have about jobs already sent to other countries or any jobs recently sent to other countries
