Yes, there are many totally unnecessary managers here and they cost the company too much.
I wonder if our competitors have so many useless managers who do almost nothing and without whom everything would work much better?

Thats Southern California has a different work ethics and policy.
( Loss of revenue)
Not Northern Legacy California Engineers. They are professional and knowledgeable they do not have to delegate their work. If the work is handed to contractors, it's per the management.

Nick or anyone with any semi care for the health of the company. Please look into the California engineering teams. Most of their work is done by contracting firms. Which then are supposed to pass the work to employee “engineers” to check, and verify for final approval before being released. Their sole purpose is to make construction teams more efficient. Not less. They are no doing their function. You’d be better off just having the contracting engineers send the work directly to construction. Skip the middle man. That’s how it happens anyway. There is no oversight or checks by those company “engineers”. Look at their qualifications and you’ll see why. They have 0 idea what they are designing or even looking at. You’d have to have done the job to have even a basic understanding of what you’re designing. Wasted $$$$$

At face value this post just seems like exaggeration. However, it is 100% factual at least in one department I know of beyond doubt. Engineering. The “engineers” are completely incompetent and useless. Yet, they are in positions where they can push their work off onto others and no one says a word. If you do say something. The answer is. We don’t have these problems in other areas. Which is complete BS. Every area we talk to regarding engineering in California is useless. Same answer. Just do your redlines and it will get updated. 3 years later. Still no updates. Still horrible prints. No revisions. No added job hours for multiple missing tasks. Same answers. Just do the redlines. Engineers don’t do a damn thing. Job numbers missing, counts completely wrong, fibers already in service. “Call a planner”. Engineer still does nothing. Waste of payroll on every level. Truly they do nothing.
