Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

What’s wrong with Intel’s AI product?

We have Xeon Max, GPU Max, GPU Flex, Habana, and latest news of Meteor Lake and Windows 11 bringing AI to the masses with VPU, but why Wall Street still believes in Nvidia’s one pony trick, instead of our multi-pronged “strategy”.

Intel always does half-hearted or below par job at software support. Historically, software is secondary or tertiary at Intel.

Jack of all trades, Master of none. Instead of concentrating on a single, flexible architecture for AI, Intel's "scattershot" approach is a disaster. All the major AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc. have been supporting and optimizing their CUDA compilers for a long long time, while Intel's oneAPI is very new, unproven and not optimized.
