Intel quite simply cannot compete with the massive combined scale of Nvidia, AMD, Apple, and TSMC. Intel's sinking volume is way too low to support the next round of R&D funding to be competitive. It's all about scale in semiconductors.

Intel's Q2 2023 Outlook indicated Revenue of $11.5-12.5B, down 22% YoY

Compare that with NVDA's Q2 2024 revenue outlook of $11.0B.

So yeah, It's no gonna take 3 years for NVDA to pass INTC.

Nvidia is on-track to exceed Intel next year, maybe even this year if they continue to beat and raise the next quarters. They forecasted $11bn for Q2.
