Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Isn't natural attrition enough?

There are lots of rumors about the next round of layoffs, but I wonder how much sense it all makes given that natural attrition will be increasing.
More of my colleagues have left recently than in any other period I've been working here.

The people who leave by "natural attrition" are your better employees that u dont want to lose. This coupled with QCOM cutting in most cases the wrong people gets you where you are at....poor performance, weak exec team, apathy, fat, stock in free fall....but hey come in 5 days a week, watch your co-workers get walked out, get compensated less, and watch your execs pull out in their ferraris....

Learn from Hoc Tan, the true champion of financial engineering. My Broadcom buddy told me if someone want to quit, his manager says "No, you can't go. We need you to get our job done". Is it beautiful or horrible?
