Just announced. Honestly after 8 months of work ring here I pray I’m one that gets the sweet relief of severance from this he-l hole.

Same as @lsw - I was let go in Feburary, I feel much better now.
Good luck all.
@xfs+1mLZKabb Getting the email does not mean you're laid off. It went out to everyone coded as HQ including remote workers and people who are technically in the field but their headcount is listed under HQ.
Does anyone knows of any departments being laid off?
It is not good for the productivity if they drag this. Simple question: am I going to be laid off if I received the email? I am not a manager and I feel like the answer is yes because the CEO said thank you in the very beginning of the email.
What are App positions please? Is that Deerfield? Thanks.
App positions gone. All of them.
Oh man, what areas are you guys in. I've been sensing something like this coming 4 awhile but would love to know where you are coming from and what areas/teams are being hit hardest :(
I was part of the layoff back in Feb and I said it then that I felt like they were not done and now I heard another 500 were let go this week. Not sad at all to be done with that place I have been so much healthier and stress free. I had over 20 years along with a lot of others that were laid off at that time too. They are letting all of these top talent well skilled lifers go and hiring a company from overseas to run the support office. Sad because most of us were really invested and wanted to make change in the company and help the stores!
Get out of this company, it's a sinking ship, isn't it obvious yet? Stock price a disgrace, getting fined non stop in the millions and millions of $$$$, stores have terrible service, low grade employees hires..you get what you pay for. For the ones that say ahhh it's ok, they will survive. Well to you I say GOOD LUCK. Is this how you want to work? And for the store workers getting a 25 to a 50 cent raise every year. Have some pride.
Many of us “felt” it coming. I have a meeting this afternoon. I guess we’ll see.
Same! I am literally praying it’s me and they tell me ASAP.
I know of two Director levels with double digit years of service that had meetings put on their calendar this morning and were let go.
They fired thousands of contractors with a days notice I'm surprised FTE are getting any better treatment.
Sad day at what was once a great company. The new ELT is in over their heads and the grasping for air is clearly desperate and self serving. Disappointed in the CEO’s appointments, none of them seem to have worked out from legal to customer to IT.
Likely been ongoing across the quarter. Majority of impacted employees have already heard is my takeaway from reading the email this morning.
So, if people received an email about the 10% being laid off they are for sure going to get laid off?
OP here no they said people will find out throughout this week, no heads up just dropped on
DO the people who are getting let of know yet?
OP here, yeah Walgreens can fu----g rot I really hope I get the long weekend knowing I won’t be coming back to this shitshow
Only a few days notice - what a terrible way of communicating it
