HR and management don't care about you or your well being. They only care about themselves and the company. To HR, you are a number. Unless your interests align with theirs, they'll be more than happy to throw you under the bus, even if you are the one who is being wronged.

I use to enjoy working at c/s many years ago. It sure has changed a lot. 43 years now. C/S sucks now.

Yes, but CS’s HR is notoriously evil lead by the devil reincarnate.
That is and always has been HR, everywhere. HR is not your friend. They exist to protect the company from liability.
Ditto this is not anything new but does serve as a nice reminder. The days of spending decades with one company is over.
