A consultation group has been creeping around the corporate office for the past few months. Moral has been in the gutter for a while as rumors of a reorganization have been steadily growing. Employees were just notified that all corporate offices are closed tomorrow 05/23/23 and that details of how the reorganization will be affecting them will be relayed to them privately.

is the 60 on top of the 100,or is 100 really 60?
did they say why they are laying off people?
How is business?
Was in one of the restaurants on a weekend ,business was slow at lunch hour.and not much digital order either.
Let go around 60 people last week (and kept it out of the headlines). This week they have 9 positions they are hiring for in the areas they just cut. But the real problems remain.
Confirmed, a lot of PMs, devs, QAs, mostly senior and higher paid. Some entire app dev teams folded. Many people with 4+ years with the new HQ in SoCal. Now 3 day hybrid is 4 day RTO for survivors. They want the fancy ocean view offices in Newport filled with people all day on zoom calls with remote workers and teams in Columbus.-
Business must have slowed down, consumers are feeling the pinch, grocery cost too much and they are using their credit cards without paying it down, those who make $70k or less are not coming back, those who make 6 figures have higher expenses eg higher mortgage payment, also student loan payment could be coming after 60 days ,need to watch what ,how and where we spend our money

Other companies are downsizing corporate staff as well
how is business?
Oh man. What positions and what's the rationale???
less than 100 at corporate level
do you have the number of people being layoff??
Did they offer any severance or "golden parachute" to those impacted?
I am not surprised, cost of ingredients keep going up,and less people can afford an expensive burrito.
Hired for 3 months and laid off after moving across the country for this job today.
Confirmed! After years of blood, sweat, and tears shed for this company's success and I was let go "virtually" by a heartless exec. It was over in 5 minutes. Just 2 weeks ago, it was Hoopla about a great quarter and much success. Earlier this year regular staff only got 80% of their bonuses while Exec leaders, ESPECIALLY CEO, got 100%. They're claiming to trim the fat and invest to grow the business, but they have billions in the bank and no debt. Stock is the darling of wall street. The little guys always get hurt. More execs will be hired into all these new fancy roles created. This is the third restructuring for Chipotle. Many teams being reversed back into previous structure because they realized they FCKD up last time. It's a damn joke. Good riddance. A weight has been lifted off my shoulders. It's all a show. Profits before people. Expensive overpriced burritos anyway.
100% true, layoffs are coming we just do not know who will be affected the most.
We are making a ton of $$$ and things have never been better - and yet they are looking to make even more $$$ of the execs and to fund fat bonuses and the little guy will be hurt.
Confirmed
