Kinda funny how that works. Nick and the top execs get about 48million in total and then they lay off people because of "operation costs". More like
"We need to cover for our bonuses, and the already overworked staff will just have to work harder"

Anyone want to comment on the MILLIONS that was paid out to a select number of top executives (approximately 8) right before Frontier filed for bankruptcy!!! Yes, that’s correct… they were paid Millions one month before Frontier filed for bankruptcy. Very suspicious!

If you have a job title pertaining to copper or central office work. Take the package!!!!! Because your a-s with a seniority date of 2006 or higher will be sent somewhere far.

Likely the massive amount of contractors they just hired a few months ago for a project they already blew the budget on.

Frontier CEO email

Team,

Since I joined the company, I’ve always been open and direct, even when it comes to sharing difficult news. This is one of those times.

Today we are making changes to our organization that will result in the reduction of our overall workforce by about 1,500 jobs. This means saying goodbye to some talented and dedicated employees and contractors.

The majority of our non-union teammates will be notified today and tomorrow, and we will be working with union leaders to offer voluntary separation benefits before considering involuntary reductions.

I recognize this is tough for all of us, especially those who are affected.

My goal today is to continue to be transparent and provide as much context as possible so everyone can understand why it’s necessary for us to do this, how we are supporting our teammates who are leaving and what happens next.

First, let’s talk about why we are doing this:

Since we emerged from bankruptcy a little over two years ago, we have spent every day working to transform our company.

Every quarter, we progress operationally, and we move step by step to make Frontier a better company. We are now the second largest fiber builder in the country, and we are winning market share because there is strong and growing demand for our high-speed fiber broadband.

The challenge, as I have shared many times on Listen Live, is that our costs are too high for a company of our size.

Our costs are higher than our competitors and the complexity of our organization is slowing us down. Like other companies, we must also manage the external cost pressures that come with inflation. We need to transform into a more agile, efficient and innovative company, so we can better compete and grow.

As a result, we have conducted a top to bottom review of our organization and made the decision that we need to take steps to reduce our costs, simplify our organizational structure and improve our ability to win.

I know this explanation doesn’t make it any easier for those leaving us. We are going to do our very best to support you in this transition with separation payments, and where available, transitional health benefits and job placement support. The work you did here matters, and you will always be a part of Frontier’s story.

For those who are staying, I know change can be unsettling and I call on you to have kindness and empathy for our teammates who are leaving Frontier. Please say thank you as you say goodbye.

And as we move ahead, let’s take this opportunity to sharpen our focus on what matters as we drive our performance to the next level. I am confident that if we go through this tough time with integrity, we will emerge as a stronger and more competitive company.

As an ex-employee I glad to see this place burn. You cleaned house in 2016 leaving us to quadruple our workgroups, kiss more a-s, and see people get promoted to VP and Directors because they could s**k better.
Clerks and techs gave their lives for this place only to get crapped on.

I was a Local Manager let go in 2016. Frontier kept the best toe licking management to drive the company in the ground .
Can't wait for the fire sale.
Hope all left over management get what I got.
I saw good employees just give up,so don't be saying they are lazy, just frickin frustrated.

I’m a CCM, but I’m not going to say which office. These 1500 employees that need to be slashed just might be a good thing. We have a lot of lazy techs out in the field that have been begging to get fired for years now. It’s time we cut the fat and the techs are the fattest people at Frontier

Your post really shows your intelligence level. Or lack of. Perhaps, the company will recognize how “smart” you are and you’ll be the first one cut.

It's like Frontier is run by a bad reality TV host... "On this week's episode of Frontier... see who gets cut from the mix... and which vendors get hired on!"

Can anyone share the email? From what I understand they just said they will let you know if you're cut? Then what happens? I have never been in this situation, would there be severance? Would we qualify for unemployment

Well.... This was an inevitable and foreseeable conclusion. Given the absolutely STUPID policies this company has adopted and implemented across all states. When you throw customer service out the window and then refuse to sell a service to customers, your business is destined to fail. Not all states are the same, infrastructure isn't the same, facilities aren't the same, the customer base isn't the same. This doesn't require some new hire, fresh out of the institution they call "college", with a shiny, brand new degree in economics to point out the fact that when you have the facilities to provide service to customers but you refuse because your policy is to "CAP" remotes, or say that if the customer can't get 12Meg based on their location, too bad. Go somewhere else! But when you are the only provider in some of the rural locations, and you can give a service that these people are begging for, Frontier will thumb their nose at them and tell them to get lost. Across the board sales policies will always fail in the end.

This company is destroying itself from the inside out and they are too blind to see or just don't care. It was never this way before...once the "gotta have it or else" acquisiton mindset became the greatest idea since sliced bread, the writing on the wall became visible. I have given this company all I have, sacrificed time and effort, in what I believed was an across the board dedication for prosperous sucess for everyone here. We were a great big family, now the employees are just the inlaws that no one wants to hear from.

All the email said is nonunion, and they will speak with union leaders on possible buyouts before they have to do layoffs.
