I felt like being in a cemetery today when walking through the office today. No positivity, no energy , no enthusiasm.. seems like no life left. I am planning to give two week notice and not sure that is giving me even more passive view.
I saw one person with huge disappointment look. He was rehired in AME after being laid off from other group. He used to be quite active before lay off. Now he does not care. I really can not take it anymore.

The only way GF will improve is to clean house from some Senior Directors, all VPs, all SVPs up through the CEO. This current leadership team has failed GF and all of us that work here. We must clean house and reset the company. There is a reason Reeder is jumping ship, either he knows bad times are coming or he was overlooked for CEO and the guy from TI coming in will be the future CEO. Whatever the reason, when your CFO jumps ship you know good things are not coming in future!!.
I use to work at IBM Microelectronics before it was sold to GF. The atmosphere was doom and gloom as well. We were failing behind in technology and yields. Quality was poor and the management was absolutely terrible. I worked in what is now Fab 9 in Burlington and it was filled with the most incompetent leaders and they had no idea on how to retain employees. I left GF and have worked in a great company for the last few years. I encourage you to leave and don’t look back. Maybe look adjacent to the semiconductor market. There’s other industries with more stability and less pressure. Get out while you can.

I too love that GF is still a mess. I’ve been gone for quite a while. This message board not only validates my reasons for leaving global, it also serves as reminder to GF survivors what they just never go through again.
If you haven’t noticed, it is a layoffs website, where people come to talk about rumors and news related to any work turnover. That is why people come here, and it is an open source for all to see what the rumors/news are. OP is looking for a therapy session and posts of confidence from the whiners who frequent this board, including yourself.

It honestly hasn’t been a good atmosphere in years. I think we just get accustomed to it and then it drops some more
It makes me happy to know that I after I was laid off, the atmosphere is still miserable and GF is failing. I will celebrate when GF closes.
