Why Q is not transparent enough? CA says 5% reduction this year but my team had reductions since 2020. Executives are getting paid handsomely. JT sold millions worth shares few days back. When management fails to execute vision, when there is litigation, when nxp deal cancelled, engineers only engineers and long time engineers are laid off. Why always worker class suffer and executive takes all benefits?

I am a Sr Staff/Mgr and I get around 1000 shares per year, so msy be that’s the average across the engineering titles ..
Avrg engineer in Qualcomm get 1000 shares per year? That means the rsu bonus worth more than $100K per year? If you are not smoking good stuff, i have only one question. Where do i sign up?
Broadcom again. I just shake my head every time that non starter ridiculous bid is mentioned. It was never going to happen. That deal was a disaster in the making. Where is Broadcom right now? Circling the drain!
JT got 157000 shares in the last year.
If the average engineer gets 1000 shares per year, then this is equivalent to 157 engineers!
Qcom thinks he is a superman or another Musk !
If JT were fired we could save the jobs of 10 productive engineers/programmers with his salary, bonus, and stock. Q would be a better place.
Agree with the person that says JT is useless BUT he is worse than useless. He is a backstabber and not to be trusted. He comes off like he's your friend, he is not.
Management only cares about profits, not retaining U.S. workers. They are executing on their plan to outsource as many jobs as possible. This should be no surprise. They are not committed to U.S. workers.
“…executives take all the benefit”. Why complaint? We all know what we signed up for. Welcome to capitalism. Hiw do you like it now? ^__^
Your US team may be losing people but your matrix managed non US team has probably grown a lot. Notice how non US teams are always outside your management tree. This is done so that its not obvious that US team counts are going down while non US counts are going up.
The layoffs are simply outsourcing of jobs to cheaper locations AFTER the non US personnel are fully trained.
Qualcomm doesn’t produced any chips - TSMC does. How many trolls are on here
The only department that would exist today if Broadcom were allowed to buy Qualcomm is QTL and how do we know this? Broadcom said it! Whatever you smoking is a lot stronger than what I got! $hit, your stuff is putting you in alternative universes
JT is a very useless guy who gets millions every year for no clear reason.
He should be the first to get fired.
When you said “none would have jobs today”, did you mean the company name and ownership would have changed or you meant it would have gone bankrupt and every single one is laid off, buildings would be haunted and no more chips? What are you on?
What would ever give you the inclination that management isn’t executing their plan? Management may not be executing your plan but their plan is going along perfect. And when management plans are met they are compensated accordingly.
- management kept Qualcomm alive - got Trump to block Broadcom takeover
- kept business model in place in the US
Without either of the above actions happening the last couple of years there would be NO Qualcomm today! No one would have a job today - so get off the dr-gs and realize managements plans are not your plans
