Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Can Qualcomm workers really be this d-mb?

  1. do people really think chips is Qualcomm money maker?
  2. do people really think the sale of modems is what makes Qualcomm money?
  3. do people not realize that QTL makes all the money for Qualcomm
  4. do people not realize that Qualcomm only exist today bc of QTL?
  5. do people not realize that Qualcomm business model is illegal all over the world except the US

The only reason Apple wants to make its own chipsets is bc Qualcomm gets a cut of the phone sales that every chip is in! So Qualcomm can sell the same chip to a low end phone and charge Apple 4xs as much bc apples phone cost more!

But Qualcomm still makes most of its money from patent royalties… all these post on here are from people that know nothing and make up business models in their heads

Be nice!! Apple doesn’t hire for IQ. Apple hires people who will bend to its corporate structure.

Qualcomm is d-mb because it knows how to make money, therefore the workers are d-mb? I rather be d-mb and make money than smart and be poor.

Post from TheLayoff.com

From a small group of engineers in what is now WRD. Most engineers at QC contribute nothing to QTL.

QTL got all the big money making patents from dead engineers.

QTL is the biggest money maker by its financials. Also, please go back and review the lawsuit with Apple that went on for years! Please read what the lawsuit was about and comeback and explain how you know what you are talking about! People need to learn how to read in here!

Objection, compound question.

Rephrase.

You certainly don’t have the faintest clue about different chipset capabilities that explain the pricing differences. You have even less idea of the licensing terms or why Apple would prefer vertical integration. Please do try to get some facts in place before spewing meaningless generalizations that have no basis in fact, with utmost certainty no less!
