People on here do not read the news nor understand Qualcomm’s business model. Apple already sued Qualcomm countless times stating Qualcomm’s business model was illegal. Apple lost every time. Apple already gives Qualcomm’s millions of dollars just bc of the current IP business model in America
QCOM can be the world's leading supplier of body odor!
Apple will raise head again and target Qualcomm royalty business. This will put Qualcomm multi years behind and there will be layoff. QCOM will hit below 50.
Currently, almost 50% royalty business from Apple. Apple will not handover free money to Qualcomm.
5000 Apple employees are working on that project, major breakthrough coming soon, qcom will lose the Apple business. Stock to hit 45
The most dominant cdma patents are near end of life, other 4G 5G you can’t extract much juice from it due to cross IP licensing
Even if Apple makes its own modem they still need to keep paying royalty because of qualcomms IPs.
No one makes big margins off of hardware sales that aren’t a final product. Aging for some reason Qualcomm hires the most incompetent people that know nothing about business. QTL is the money maker for Qualcomm. It doesn’t matter who sales the hardware as long as Qualcomm patents are being used!
It’s not that easy.
Many have tried and many have failed.
IoT...InGeo...pet tracking...all opportunities for a modem company
What's the future for Apple.
Stuck with Intel modem. Cringe.
Apple has lost focus on their core competency. Why take on that burden.
To compete with the clear winner.
more layoff for sure
Stock goes down by 50%
Just like you don’t, management doesn’t have a clue what they would do, they care a damn. They already are rich enough! Think about yourself
