Just heard 5/18 had more layoffs as expected in the ECS BH areas. Next should be 6/1. I have only heard thus far of Edgar (over all of ECS). Anyone else?

Is Marketing and Customer Insights next?
Unlikely it will hit the same department in less than 6 months. Semi-annual or annual.
Does anyone think the same department could be hit again on 6/1 or will they move on to another department?
And to the extent of moving offshore for calls and intake - they don’t mind at all to inherit the broken workflow - this translates into recurring revenue streams - the tops are clueless anyway - cheaper labor but over time will bleed into the bottom line .. again.. those at top will get golden parachutes .. the staff (what left of it) to carry the baggage … vicious cycle to say the least !!
While AI automation is a desired goal/dream come true for people above - lack of hands on and reality checks.
Call center has not been working optimally for years and speed to market on M$A exacerbated the integration/streamlined efforts. “Newbie” “leaders” literally preach transformation/replacement without checks/balances - this is liken “throw the baby out with the bath water”. What do they care? Stocks value goes up = increase in execs stock options/bonuses.. they will move on to the next victim - another org or handsome retirement .. dis-speakable
Which department is next?
intelligent automation definitely puts you at risk if you are data entry or phones. Good luck!
Those tasks are the easiest to outsource overseas, it is just a matter of time.
If you're data entry or phones how likely are you to be let go? We're already low on the food chain.
