Right now the objective for Zuck is raise the stock price to protect his fortune and his job, and he is spending 40 billion on buybacks to do so.
George Washington once said the last act of a corrupt government is to loot the treasury, and companies with buyback amounts like this remind me of what Washington said (Apple just announced 90 billion).
Zuck told us layoffs is part of the "Yr of Efficiency". So I ate so much this morning since no idea there will be anymore free meal for me after May 24.
Also, since I'm h1b, someone told me Meta stopped all the GC sponsorship, so good luck to all my OPT/H1b buddies.

boz saying he's not promising if we'll have any more layoffs = there will be more before 2023 is over. zuck said last year the 2022 cuts was to be deep enough so there will be no more cuts in 2023, guess what he lied
To add, I know this is part of the already announced 10k, but I still believe that we're far from over.
