HR is forcing Directors to give verbal warnings they deem warranted regarding Dynamic Week attendance issues. Maybe some are justified, I don’t know. September should be interesting!!

If your friend can prove that they are being harassed to go in and have an approved medical condition he/she needs to contact a lawyer.
Coming in when they say isn’t enough. My manager never stops giving me cr-p for not coming in when it’s not required. Has always held it against me. I do have a medical reason I won’t go more than required anyway but still. Shouldn’t have to behind what they require when tons of work that’s not your job is always dumped on you and you’re used and underpaid. One of my friends with a medical exception with HR is also harassed by her manager a lot.
You have to have visible butts in seats or the boss gets real lonely.
just relax a bit and focus on your work. just come in when they say to come in. simple.
1 - Verbal Warning
2 - Written Warning
3 - Final Written Warning
4 - You are gone!
Just so you know the process in advance of you being let go if you are fighting this.
BINGO!!!!!
so, during covid when everyone was locked down and working for home, yes people worked alot of hours. Probably did more than they would do during regular times. After all, there was nothing else to do. We were all shut down. Now, two years later, things are wide open and people want to work form home. Problem is, the world isn't shut down so people have other things they can do now during work hours. I can run errands, take the dog to the vets, go to the bank go to the gym....etc. So, people are not putting in the same amount of work from home now that they did during covid. Deep down, you all know it's true also but won't admit it. Problem is, management does know it and that is the reason for the connect weeks and what is to come.
I do not know if it is true, but leaving before 4 pm (said as an Eastern Standard Time person) sets off proverbial alarms during Connect weeks.
No one is pretending to work. All you people who don’t get any social interaction except at work love saying that.
There are alot of fidelity job postings on job boards. They look to be bringing people in with the expectation that they'll be in the office fulltime so something is happening. They may be cleaning house and bringing in new folks that have already agreed to comply.
Why September specifically?
