We've lost our reputation as an industry leader and it's hitting us hard. It's just heartbreaking to witness what once used to be an awesome and enjoyable workplace spiraling down the drain. It's time we face the reality that things aren't the same anymore and never will be. It sucks, but it's our reality.

Cool story
Pat ain’t no Jobs. It takes a lifetime to build a reputation but just a few bad decisions to lose it.
It is possible to turn around a company that is in the midst of a shitstorm but very very difficult. I try to keep objective viewpoint. Does anyone remember Apple when Jobs was kicked out and they put the head of Pepsi in charge? It looked like they were done. But Jobs came back and turned it all around.
Of course the turn around requires the right vision and the right people. I would have to say that the problem here is 1) IFS strategy will not work and 2) the internal organization culture and leadership may not be able to breakout of the spiral.
If any choose to stay at the company I really strongly believe for their own mental well being they have to a) believe the vision can work and b) have to commit to speak out and challenge management .AND. be willing to commit and deliver.
Not entirely. Still the industry leader in headcount.
Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance
Where are we now?
Well said, OP. Well said.
