Were business units, especially HR, included in layoffs? Or only engineers?

All departments were asked to trim a percentage off their budgets. Non-Engineering and Engineering were both hit. There were no winners today.

Most layoff are engineer because company has too many engineer. Listen to CMO talk from Tuesday, he knows what company needs. More frat bros with jokey jokes and expense accounts. Then we sell the street on our brand value, copy engineering from Mediatek.

A post on this forum a month back mentioned some guys in HR team were laid off and the last day will be May 24, same to today’s layoff. So I guess current round layoff started with non-engineering groups.
