Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

This is a start of series of disastrous moves by Sabre

I am one of the victims of layoff. From the onset of my job, I could see exactly what was going wrong, and it was shared multiple times. Old timers and old thinking will not solve Sabre's problems. Neither is cutting people who could make impact. Sabre's issues can only be solved through solid leadership willing to shake up from the foundation, think from a business point and not just technology, bring fresh blood, manage P&L at the product level, and ensure accountability. This lay off again proves that the long term success of Sabre is not the aim.

The problems started years and years ago. During Covid, they let a huge number of people go voluntarily who knew how things worked. I don’t think it ever recovered… at least on the SHS side. Customer satisfaction tanked after having been a leader for so many years!
Seems to me the problems started when Sabre went public!

Respectfully, you should look at the history of Sabre over the last 20 years. While Covid times were unprecedented, it still remains a fact that Sabre has a long systematic history of laying people off. It isn't anything new. It appears to be part of their management playbook deeply embedded in its organizational DNA.

this is not the start, the moves already happened. I dont know how many of you are flying lately but I havent been on an airplane that didnt have 100% load factor for a while. The business is recovering and this is knee jerk. We have just lost so much knowledage and talent that will be extremely hard to emulate, its gone. Our competitors must be having a good laugh
