My experience is probably a lot different from a lot of you that were here longer.
I had the best team ever. The technology stack was impeccable and I learned so much. The pay, benefits and perks were superlative. I didn’t have to make an hour commute. For the most part, I was allowed to dig in and do my job without any micromanagement. I made a big difference here. The people were top notch, overall. I’ve made friendships from people all over the world and the US. We were family.
I gave this place my best, and for all but 10+ days it rewarded me handsomely, and then some.
It’s a shame that such a nice ecosystem has been dismantled overnight, and so dishonorably. I’ll never look back, but I hope the ones that remain approach the remainder of their time at Sabre as though you’re always 10 sleepless nights away from something like this. Stay current and learn everything you can.
