I used to be very worried whenever there was a rumor about layoffs. However, the layoffs have become so frequent that I have become too numb to even care anymore. I think I'm not the only one? I can't say that I would like to be laid off, but being constantly in the state of anxiety and uncertainty is not good for one's health.

Shout out to all the nurses who got laid off last week not all unappreciated you. Some of our patients heard about it and left the company’s services, found another provider. And how evil is this company to act like nothing happened in our townhall last week and thanking nurses after laying off a hundred or so a few days earlier.
Congratulations on "winning"! Most of the "transformation" leadership are "talkers"! Most of the real "doers" like yourself will keep pulse on what is happening out in the world with real skills to land elsewhere! Those leaders talked about "transformation", "digital" and "AI" without any practical skills are great "politicians" with ability to market themselves to this org.! Match forward and never look back!
Agreed. I’ve been laid off three times by them. Each time landing myself a different role, that they knew was open, and I qualified for. Could have just transferred me but no. Transparency is not truly a value at this company. Nor is honesty or compassion. Just always be prepared, work that career compass and my professional profile area. Network like CRAZY. Keep linked in and resumes up to date. That’s how you keep landing and keep seniority benefits like pto accrual. It’s extremely insecure, and a poor way to operate a company, but…🤷🏻♀️
Why would they give you advanced notice? They are trying to keep severance pay out at a minimum level! Yes, that is the right way of handling RIFs. But greed is the driving factor with this org/leadership. There are some actually given 2 weeks or 1 month notices, but it depends who you know its not what you know and contribute.
Furthermore, they exploit the middle management to "force" performance ranking to justify for the cut due to "performance". There you have it cost saving and we are just a number to them.
I also wish there were more transparency with upcoming layoffs rather than uncertainty and rumors. That way I can get ahead on applying for new positions elsewhere and move on with life rather than wondering and waiting.
