Just stunned what has happened across the board with thus company compared to 1980s and even 1990s.

Horrifically bad and clueless management. Terrible treatment of employees. Massive litigation being mismanaged by an incompetent legal department. And now corporate execs acting as peeping toms and now possible johns.

Yes, there was some drunken debauchery at times at tartan and 3M Club. Yes some people got hooked up there (by consent) and spent the weekend together. Made for good gossip but never this bad or illegal.

Sounds like Vale must have thought he was tom cruise in risky business.

Who is the litigation SVP? Is it the guy who worked for one of the administrations? Is “Flim Flan” Kevin Rhodes? Why after paying lawyers so much in legal fees are we still in a bad legal position? How did things get this bad? Sorry for all of the questions but it is hard to see so many losing jobs due to legal issues but not really understanding how our legal issues got so bad I about 5 years. Maybe I was just so busy 6 years ago that I do not remember or did not attend meetings where PFAS was discussed. Or maybe at my level it was never discussed?

Ivan fong was an abject failure.
Flim flam will just hire outside counsel and pay millions. This is way above his pay grade. Our so called litigation svp needs to be more careful. Attending meetings with hangovers is not a good look…

Ivan Fong left for a reason. 3M should have looked outside of 3M for a GC given the legal challenges it is facing. Why hire a patent attorney who only has in-house experience at 3M to manage the legal challenges 3M is currently facing?

Depending on the time of join. Some employees are facing their GESPP portfolio shrink by 40~50%.
Many told me that they regret signing up.

Forgot to add GESPP in the dark red territory. One used to be able to count of 3M stock to beat the market over a 3 to 5 year period.
