It's a flop - even my director doesn't agree with RTO and already said it's not the least bit mandatory. If we want to go up there and network and socialize, we are free to do so or not. He only cares that we are doing our job.

The entire return to office has zero to do with productivity and everything to do with the commercial real estate market. The CEO and other Sr Execs don't want their commercial real estate market investments to dive so all of these companies are generally agreeing to prop them up.

@2fnh+1mDiK924 you do know the ones wearing the pj's are mostly sales and sales brings in the money and we gave also had salary cuts due to less bonus right?
What a stupid comment.
Sales is a transferable skill.Sales will drop when staff leave.Dell will suffer short term = More cuts or pressure.

After 3 years sitting in your pj’s not having to deal with covid protocols at work with wearing a mask and temp checks, The party’s over. Welcome to reality. At least you had 3 years to save money with the high gas prices you didnt have to pay, save on child care, etc…

Gee, I wonder how all of the employees that have had to come to work everyday for the past 3 years at Dell have survived? And with minimal pay and high gas prices at that. WFH are all whiners and lazy do nothings collecting 100k+ salaries. What a joke.

Yes. Most big companies actually puored monies into capital expeditures hoping to bring employees back.

Dell literally hawked their buidlings land and equipment. There are buildings still with active demolition and coonstruction around them. Then they regneged on the pact they had with their employees.

A swindle of the worst kind: against their own employees

from a town hall last week, the company has heard the questions that people are asking and realizes it has some challenges in asking people to come back. Questions have been raised about the cafeteria, the pool, bringing back cubes and designated work areas and eliminating the need to make a reservation for a work area every day/week. Basically, if you want people to go back like there is no more pandemic, then bring back the way it looked prior to the pandemic. I think that is a fair ask.

I know 176 is not fully ready for everyone to come back at this time. That may change, but as of right now, it's just not ready. You still have to make a seat reservation before coming in. Cafeteria is not fully staffed. There are work areas with no tables to work on. People are still doing zoom meetings from their desks and not utilizing conference rooms.

So? All the big companies have already mandated that
