I know many folks, incredible talent, who were cut today. This will impact Sabre long term and I do not think we'll be able to recover from this.

You can hire deleveloper than can adopt the bussiness with good functional bussiness. The can not hire functional bussiness, it took years to understand the bussiness functionality. It is no school for that. Sad !!!!
Truly shocking to see so many ultimate experts on functional areas (yes-I know what I'm saying,we had some amazing experts) been gone completely,many od them not even leaving any back-up behind them.Very short-sighted decisions,which unfortunately leave no much hope for ANY kind of future for this company.
At least Bill Hannigan never interacted with people, in fact he avoided human contact with anyone except his directs.

Yes, and they are well aware of the impact. They cut by salary, not value to Sabre. They seem to be planning on building offshore at junior levels. That might work if they planned on retaining them, but I’m not sure they do.
I enjoyed my time at Sabre, but it seems like the future isn’t very bright. I’m betting Ekert cuts a lot of perks, too.
With all the "functional and business knowledge" lost, how poor you will deal with non-existent customers for non-existent new projects?
