I use Samsung and my wife use iPhone with same cellular provider the iPhone signal is too poor.. and some time wifi calling in iPhone also not work properly.. by using q modem apple can't match with Samsung coverage.. if they use own modem iPhone users should sit on tower for signal..

My best guess is they will have no choice than signing extended contract with qcom because they haven’t announced anything on their modem’s status

Modem is way harder than buying ARM core and customization.
smart people would avoid buying any iPhone using apple’s own modem until it matures after years iterations.
