Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

To all leadership reading this

and I’m not talking about simple managers, I’m trying to reach people that can actually take decisions or influence the ones would do: What’s the plan after this? Based on what I’m reading our employees have the (correct) feeling that independently of how hard they work they will still have to go through anxiety just to know if they can keep working here. It doesn’t matter how many ice creams you buy or how many cr-ppy raises you give away, how are you planning to deal with this feeling?

I work hard (really hard) and I already went through this several times during my 20yrs here. I know, I’m probably stupid for staying but is there any real plan to make working-hard people know that they are truly appreciated? Or aren’t they?

Well isn't that what they tried doing before K.E. was brought on? I'd say GDS was royally bartered for bad IT products. GDS subsidized bad IT products for so many years. Says something about the quality of our IT products. What choice does rhe exec leadership have other than to focus again on GDS and find growth opportunities around it? BTW, I'm not a fan of the way this entire layoff thing is being handled, but this comment abour focusing on GDS isn't entirely fair.

NDC is bringing GDS down, and GDS appears to have been new persons strong suite. Not sure what a bright future for Sabre would even look like. 1A has diversified into other airport and aviation offerings. Best of Luck to us that have been able to hang on as long as we have..

I’ve been here for over 15. Survived many layoffs..likely not this time..and what I can say is that even though I have given my all…at the end of the day it doesn’t matter…I’m only just an employee number with a salary attached that needs to be cut.

There is no plan, just manage the decline as GDS revenue goes away. It's already happening and will accelerate. Sabre leadership has been unwilling to make the decisions to position the company for when the GDS cash cow dies.

Of course you always have some stupid a--hole writing in the town hall’s chat: “thank you to all the leadership for everything they are doing for us”.

This is what the leadership is doing id--t.
Unless this is coming from the leadership it self as some kind of self marketing.
