Massive layoffs in weeks

Early June cuts to the TechCentre. Up to half the positions (50%) will be cut, rest absorbed by BUs. Then BUs restructured by Fall with up to 25% cuts.

I’m very excited about this innovative new stay at home layoff approach the leadership is trialing. The cost savings of executing with this approach are what is needed to remain competitive. It’s about optimizing the decollaboration. Integrity is about doing what you said you would do and they are following through on project Focus. The responsible thing to do is to eliminate employees employment via a phone call so they don’t have to make eye contact. Stay safe.

It never seems like it at the time but layoffs are often one of the best things to happen to a person over time.

It’s so easy to stick with the familiar and continue eating sh!t for a paycheque, a layoff is an opportunity to start fresh.

Way too many people dragging their feet to/from work (or even better working remotely) and hoping they keep the job for years JUST so they can get SEVERANCE or eventually a pension!

If I'll ever get to the top, I'll end this!!

Lots of poor people out there having such a hard time keeping their low paid jobs, and here many well paid people are dragging themselves to work for SEVERANCE...

Is this for real? If so, definitely not a bad plan. Why do we have hundreds of people doing god knows what in the tech Centre. Majority charging to overhead. Massive waste of money..
