Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

CSG losing talent, fast

I've kept tabs on who has left, and CSG has lost a LOT of very good talent. And, some of that talent is poaching other talent. In other words, there is a lot more to come. Anyone with a brain can't get out of there fast enough.

Also, look for TK to slowly bring in his Broadcom crew. If you're CSG ELT, the clock is ticking for you. TK inherited you - he doesn't want you. All that kissing up only gave you a dirty nose.

It's quite remarkable how every dollar "saved" in the layoffs has additional negative "savings" with revenue. Most people just move on and continue with their lives, but these outright gleefully disgraceful slap-in-the-face layoffs have sparked resignations and active efforts to save customers from what has clearly been signaled to the world that CSG is a titanic sinking ship.

The customer and employee exodus is real. I left a year ago and the company I'm at has a ton of EUC consulting SOW's in the pipeline or in active delivery that are explicitly to help customers assess their current Citrix footprint and create/execute an exit strategy to something else - VMware and Microsoft solutions mostly, but some moving towards a more modern Zero Trust approach with SASE, enterprise browsers, etc. We haven't seen a single new new or even expansion Citrix opportunity yet this year. Customer confidence is not great right now, and with Citrix forcing the Universal Licenses on larger customers, I don't expect that to improve.

SPOT. ON. I am in a position to influence these decisions at my new company, and you better believe I’m steering them CLEAR AWAY from CSG. Basically anyone BUT CSG.

That’s my personal gift to Lord Voldepork. Lost business, baby. Sit on that and rotate.

And those leaving are landing significant enough roles to influence their new companies who are thinking about buying or renewing Citrix products. Which way do you think those conversations are going? Yeah... not good for TK...

No need to wait for RSUs to vest. I had RSUs vesting into Q2 of 2024 before I left. The company who hired me is paying me the same amounts plus a bit more over the same vesting schedule.

Don't most people's RSUs vest at the end of Q1? I'd expect a stampede for the exits shortly.

But that was TK’s goal: Drive the company into the ground and sell off its parts.

Welcome to the arc of a tech company. Citrix is in its death throes. Time to move on and hit the virtual pavement. Best of luck to all with enough grit to move on to the next thing in your career. Tech overall is still a great sector to be looking for employment, every sector is becoming a tech company to a good extent. 🐝➕ , but TK and his crew still suck.

"I've kept tabs on who has left, and CSG has lost a LOT of very good talent."

Not nearly as rapidly as Citrix's long-time customers are leaving. When I talk to our customers about why they are abandoning us for competitors there is no single reason why, they tend to list many different reasons. However, I think everyone is now doubtful that TK can fix the mess he inherited. In fact, it's now much worse than before he arrived.

This doesn't end well, for the remaining employees or customers. Very sad.
