HE relocation fire sale

I know this has come up in various topics that they are leaving Hoffman Estates, here's the most direct confirmation as they clear out their buildings.

The 33W Monroe building is mostly empty based on the listing and it looks like several of the floors the tenants left furniture behind. I imagine it was a cheap lease and cheap move.

I think thay should build the new Head Quarters on the same land as where Garden City, Mi Kmart used to be. I think that land is scacred to this company and should be made into something youseful.

I think the new HQ is situated on the floor right above the 7-11 if I'm not mistaken.

I heard the new HQ is only a few hundred square feet so rent shouldn't be that burdensome for them.

New HQ location is 33 West Monroe Street in Chicago. Just a short walk from the former Sears Tower.

Wonder what percentage of the few remaining people who commute to downtown will die violent deaths?

This is nothing new all this was posted months ago, the images haven't changed so I assume they have sold little to nothing of all that 90's office furniture and it will all end up in landfill.

To downtown Chicago.

Great. No one wants to commute there yet landlords are still charging a fortune.

You mean to tell me they can't find cheaper real estate in the suburbs? Is Transformco interested in being a going concern, or just seeing how many of their remaining employees get mugged in Chicago?

Transformco, the parent company of Sears and Kmart, is relocating their headquarters from Hoffman Estates to downtown Chicago. This sale is huge and it’s historic as Hoffman Estates is the longtime corporate location.

There are hundreds and hundreds of items available across a campus of 7 buildings totaling 1 MILLION square feet.
