Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Advice that can never be stressed enough

No job in the company, union or management is safe. We are all expendable assets to the company. As soon as they can operate without your particular position, you will be let go. The best advice if you aren’t actively looking for another job is to have a backup plan in case you are terminated. Example: If you don’t have higher education, go back to school; learn a trade if you don’t have a skill, get a certification or license like real estate or insurance, etc. These are just a few examples, I am not telling everyone to do these things. I am saying to have a fallback in case your number is called so you can pay your bills and provide for your families until you find a permanent solution. Corporate downsizing sucks!: @1dqa+1m4PZuW4
