Lots of hirings coming at our site. Is it the same any where else?

Had a phone interview with a pulp and paper company today and while there's more interviews to come, we discussed compensation, and the hiring manager I was talking with didn't seem to think there would be any issue beating my current salary.
Guess I expected pickings were slimmer than that outside of oil.
I went back to the mothership, ConocoPhillips. No joke, it’s like another world over here. People aren’t overworked, there’s actual work/life balance, they’re friendlier, pay is higher, RSUs are flowing, life is good again.
I left for a 20% overall jump in compensation and a role with a lot more runway ahead of me.
Get out while you can. Phillips underpays and overworks, and it’s never going to get any better.
Every site is trying to hire to cover the massive attrition that's still going on (company headcount dropped 172 in March). At least here in Billings, pretty much nobody is applying though.
