Layoffs will be QC worldwide.Or only US staffs being Targeted?It should be worldwide obviously from India too .
To handle the WARN, company will announce the layoffs at 05/17 and keep impacted people on payroll till 07/17 to fulfill that 60 days notification.
In CA, WARN needs 60 days.
Any one else also happen to hear/ know the same with potential news of layoffs on 17th?
Notifications on 5/17, termination end of June. 10% cut. Automated process, SVP/VP have a list can only choose those with 3 or below on evaluations. Plan accordingly, at least the company is sooo slow and dysfunctional you get one more RSU vest.

Don't worry, if they asked for 3 today, they will ask for the remaining 10 tomorrow. Why 10?
12 currently minus 3 today = 9
9 under you + 1 (YOU) = 10
The only reason they keep 9 is to do the work of 12 people this month so deliveries are met. Once all is delivered, they will cut the remaining including the manager. So if you think you're safe and are happy that you weren't the first three, well, your work load just got heavier and now you don't as much time to look for another job. But for sure, they will all of you. All companies will be cutting if deep recession is coming.

The company has to fire all the higher up useless people. Ex: the CTO who gets millions every few months without showing up or talking or tell us anything about the company's future plans. Effectively, the CFO does the job of the CTO in talking to the media.
Bunches of Sr. Director collecting status and Principal Engineers attending scrums without any material input.
Then the company now fires anyone working remotely and wants everyone to be back i San Diego to suffer from the sky high real estate prices, food, electricity etc. + the tanking share price and RSUs.
They should give an option to people to work remotely and then we can all move out of this crazy city.

HockTan is a savior for this company. If he takes over he will shut down all the stupid nonsense projects and squeeze the company to be extremely profitable. He has good relations with other companies instead of going head to head with Apple.
Q has a very define plan and long term vision. I have no idea what these people are talking about. Most people just aren’t part of Q’s long term plan. Q got the President of the United States to block a take over bc a take over was not in the long term plans. Q has the IS government ready to go to war with China over TSMC. Q has a very define vision but also has a lot of d-mb people working for them

Its hard for everyone. The biggest problem is no transparency in the process. No body knows where the Q ship is heading. Even captain of ship do not have one direction. NO long term vision. In fact at mini/micro level, no body can have vision. Q ship is changing direction as per wind (Sometime couple of times a day). Missing a strong leader like Steve Jobs.
