Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Why weren't quarterly sales figures released on time?

And no, I am not naive. I reckon C suite doesn't want to end up like MT!

Obviously, the spootie-wonkles have broken into the office and stolen all the calculators! Help us all, Dear Lord!

They are probably having to triple-check the numbers, they’re thinking “they can’t be this bad” 😆😆

People on here assume there is no in left at corporate. Every department has at least a few people. Some have most.
They gave us the day they are releasing earnings and no it wasn’t the 12th.

Because the entire accounting team at corporate was either let go or quit! No one to reconcile/close month end let alone quarterly results.

You’re assuming there are results to release.

They were 10+ days late for the 3rd quarter results too back in January. Huge losses and bleak outlook ensure they wait until they would be fined for not releasing.

Contingency plans. They plan to release them in about 2 weeks.

Are they even going to make it to the “stakeholders” date?!? I mean when these numbers hit…who’s going to want to keep it going??
