Well, with 40% decrease in PC sales, I think they will try to make excuses to fire people. Not layoff but fire. When they fire you, you have to leave everything and they walk you out of the building. Also, you can NOT collect unemployment because you were fired. If they do a Layoff, then they pay unemployment and you may get severance depending on your package. If you don't follow the policy, they will FIRE you. This way, they also do not need to report it to the state for WARN notice. So better go to the office or get another job before they lay you off or fire you. If you already have a second full time job that's a lot better, then just wait for them to either fire you or lay you off. If they lay you off, then you might get the severance package.
