I started to get that message after the pandemic hit. Nonstop busy for over 2 years. Then let go over a phone call.
Management sucks ... All I could do was laugh. I am not laughing at you, I am laughing in disbelief of what management says.
Most companies suck. Even the company I work for sucks. After covid, things have changed drastically. People don't communicate as much. And the work is boring. Those over 55 are just waiting to get to 65 as fast a possible without any ripples along the way.
Besides, AI is going to take over your job and my job sooner then you think.
We must work in the same vertical as this is exactly the phrase I keep hearing and the same mentality of my leadership. So hard to come to work every day without telling leadership to *%$# off!!
New management came in and asked if we have heard of the phrase 'If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen'?
They added that our teams were all dead weights, slacking and need to start pulling our sleeves up to start doing real work.
Feeling so grateful that they are here to save us from ourselves, even if they have little clue as to what we do.
