How many of your coworkers have quit since ISM? We seem to be losing somebody on daily bases.

Gen Z loves ISM. 4-6 hr shifts a few days a week standing in the register and goin to their paternal home after their shift is done.
There’s no way they can afford to buy a home, let alone pay rent!

In theory, ISM could be a great thing, however, the tenured team is not qualified to do cross over functions. Can you see a merchandiser working on a Saturday night in the men's tailored area, or better yet, an elderly sales colleague coming in at 8:00 am to unload flatbeds of cookware. The talent pool that most stores own are not or will not be cross trained. Nor do they want to be trained. Our talent from both buckets will/are leaving. For fun, lets put a receiving team member in intimate or Chanel!!
So much turnover in our store and district. We have a regional visit coming up and even though we are cutting hours and freezing hiring, we are sending people from our much larger stores to stores three states away to help get the smaller stores because our DVP is terrified of his boss and thinks everything is a reflection on him. How are we supposed to be in a hiring freeze, cutting hours, driving service levels and so many in store events while we are sending people to tiny stores back east? Nobody is lazy in our store, just pulling our hair out trying to keep up with unrealistic expectations and workload.
Did they quit or were they not given hours??? They are not giving full time employees even 34 hours. To qualify for health insurance you must work 34 hours. Great way of getting rid of people without laying off and giving severance. The hours you do work are horrendous, on the entire floor by yourself. No one giving breaks and you have to complain to get a lunch. There are more lazy initialed red badges than white badges...(more chiefs than Indians..)
And don't get me started on the people who are replacing them.
