What kind of red flags do you pay attention to during a job interview that could mean that the job is not what it's being advertised as? Anything that could help decide between accepting and refusing the offer? I'm about to start interviewing again and I want to be fully prepared for it.

All of the interviewers are from India and you're not. Trust your instincts. If you have a doubt, just do the needful and for your friends the same.
Once Q makes it public about layoffs, companies that are hiring will take more time to interview the flood of candidates. You can’t expect same pay or title as you had at Q. They might ask your expected pay even before you have a phone interview.
Off the top of my head,
(1) Not getting a post-interview response within a week.
(2) Not being told what role/function you're being interviewed for.
(3) Recruiters spending too much time explaining all the cool bennies and perks of working here -- I'm looking at you google and facebook and etc. -- instead of focusing on the job itself.
(4) The silly psych questions -- if you were a colored peg which hole would you fit in?
