Thread regarding Dell EMC (EMC Corp.) layoffs

Middle Aged White Male

I was once stuck it a rut at dell(EMC), nonn no promotion M, no opportunity, no chance. Put my hand up and said enough was enough, I got the severance package and haven’t looked back since!
Currently earning nearly 3x my EMC wage.
My advice is Believe in better! If you are not female or in a minority you have no chance of progression, don’t limit yourself!

Thought it was I thought it was pretty much like that when I worked for EMC, the place was very clicky! The work culture was a mess, at one point all the good people left and what was left was the absolute bottom of the barrel! Just horrible! I work under a guy named Greg V. It was like working for a DSB every time I saw him I want to throw up so happy I moved on.

I am a minority, where are all of these opportunities you are talking about? Most of the leadership is white.

Humm I can see some personal work needed here, I do not think my recent lay off middle age female or my colleague,s Of different ethnic groups would agree a lot on your opinions, but hey! If you say so, it must be because of some global plot against midlle age white men and nothing to do with profit and gain, if you are happy with that thought, ok but Dells laid offs are nothing personal unfortunately

EMC was horrendous place as far as managing people goes. It had very distinct bro culture and very distinct subculture based on revering certain ethnicity which took all privileges there were..
