this is absolutely correct and fortinet is trying to spin it saying that they were all performance related when in reality they dropped their target earnings and had to make adjustments. it's ok to be honest, fortinet. many very solid companies are doing the same right now. the CRN article was very informative and confirmed by internal sources.

There are no layoffs. Fortinet might not be aggressively hiring like a few months ago, but nobody is being fired.

Fortinet announced layoffs at their Texas offices today. Probably a result of their revised revenue targets for H2 and the 24% collapse in their stock price since their earnings announcement. Mostly pre sales and security folks I believe. Not sure where else is affected.
