Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Lawsuit

Anyone hear the rumor AMs in inside sales are seeking legal advice from a well known attorney for the lack of coaching from the management team. The leadership team doesn't even provide coaching and expect you to guide yourself to a solution or step-down your position to a lower paying role? We use to get coaching packages, plan follow up in writing, and managers accountable for developing us. Now the leaders are managers throwing numbers out and development is non existent. Hope someone sees it before anyone gets in trouble or worse, we figure out noone is listening and the titanic sinks. If you can't tell the organization is taking on water.

Well, this appears to be a post from Senior Management within the business in an attempt to scare their Team Mangers to do what they’re paid to do, coach and inspire their team. A little audit into coaching notes will show exactly what a poor group of overpaid managers they have.

I’m guessing you’re probably based out of Maitland? Sorry to say there isn’t a legal liability for management to help develop competent talent. Frankly Recruiting has been scraping the bottom of the barrel for sometime so it’s in realistic to believe that anyone could turn the corner when your job is dependent on convincing people what brand of paper clips to buy. If you’re unhappy, just bail.
