Thread regarding Capgemini layoffs

Big paycut... and couldn't be happier!! Yeah!

As crazy as it might sound, I am SO HAPPY of being back to Industry-even with a big pay cut. Having a normal, fully remote job, with no more than 40 hours per week is a bless. I've been able to retake my old hobbies, spend much more time with family & friends, forget about work-related travel, and forget about putting together endless proposals and meet crazy customer timelines. There is no bench, no stress due to upselling or looking for my next project. Yes, still a few @55h@les at some key management levels, but nothing like working with some Cap's Directors or VPs (yes, you know well what I mean by that). Freedom feels... great!!

Recently left London with a relatively decent pay-off.
Fortunately had already found a role, also with lesser money but a much higher quality of life!

Good for you. I prefer the money while it lasts. If I get laid off, well, I’ll look for something else, but in the meantime, show me the money!!
