IT actually turns on your laptop camera and watches you. They disable the indicator light with a firmware patch. You should cover your laptop camera with electrical tape or one of those adhesive privacy covers.
another tip, check the lists you are a member of. If there is a new list that you are not familiar with, with people you don't normally work with, then your a-s is grass my friend.

They have software to monitor your activity. I would consider not using Gmail from a work machine. Connect your phone to a monitor, stay off Qualnet. Add a keyboard/mouse to that if you like.
