Thread regarding Optum layoffs

8000

Is it true that 8000 people got laid off? I left on my own in 2018. Good luck.

I'd say a 100. SD knows how to outsource and outsource he will.

Reminder when Sand@@p was brought onboard, clearly its music to the ears to meet "cost cutting" objective which is embraced by the Board and above. His loyalty is with his "root"... Its consistent with those I crossed path through out my technology career...Its win/win for someone has no healthcare background but accustomed to low pay where he came from...This includes other CTO who is "digital" guru but zero healthcare background... If you sing the right songs to the Board and other C levels who do not keep pulse on their true talents ...its called we are all "SOL@"...

Got the call this morning. After years of employment. Guess Sandeep's yacht was worth more than most peoples' livelihoods. I had a 5-year plan, too. Now I have to start all over again.

Thanks for nothing.

8,000 seems too high - if only for Optum Tech. Stateside, I did not think they had much more than 10,000 - 12,000.
