I also cannot stand the Lunatic Boeing manager I work for. She is d-mber than a box of rocks. How can you become a technical manager at Boeing if you earned a college degree in French. There lies the problem. Too many Boeing managers who should have never been named a manager in the first place.

Life is too short to be worrying about something so trivial. Solution ??? QUIT &go find another job and company to work for !!!! Boeing no longer offers a pension nor industry best benefits or pay so you have NOTHING to stay for !!! Quit wasting your time whinning on sites like this &feeling sorry for yourself, update your resume and get out !!!
The last program, Boeing did, the 787 program, was also boring because they outsourced the majority of the engineering and manufacturing to suppliers. So you had a bunch of engineers babysitting suppliers. The suppliers only tell Boeing what they want them to know not necessarily what they need to know. So good luck trying to work through their manufacturing issues.
Your manager with an education studying French became a Manager because she’s a female to meet a diversity quota or she has a relative who is an executive at Boeing.
You will never see an unqualified white male in a management position with no background, unless he’s got a relative in an executive position at the company.
As I was told managers don’t have to have any specific knowledge in what those they manage do as they manage a process, not people. Total BS and corporate speak. The truth of the matter is the people who do know about building a plane don’t work at Boeing or don’t want the hassle of being a manager.
Perhaps we need more like her. Those that speak French seem to be building and selling more airplanes than us. Until then, we will continue to play musical chairs with our jobs.
